Issues
I’ve been proud to call White Plains home for over 20 years and served our city on the Common Council since being elected in 2017. As I run for Mayor, I am looking to build on the strong work of Mayor Roach’s administration as we embark on a new era for White Plains. Our city is in a great position – we remain under the property tax cap and our Moody’s rating is very high. From housing to safety to sustainability to parks to keeping taxes down, I am eager to get to work.

White Plains is growing and we need to ensure our housing stock is keeping pace. On the Common Council, I was proud to fight to ensure our affordable housing program is citywide, not just our downtown, which made the new housing at 1133 Westchester Ave possible. Under this new push, developers are required to set aside 12% of units for affordable housing. Additionally, I played a role in getting the new comprehensive plan, One White Plains, delivered and look forward to establishing benchmarks to ensure we stay on track.
Continue to find opportunities for more affordable housing
Implement benchmarks for the One White Plains plan
Explore other incentives for developers to create more affordable housing, including a density bonus.

Every member of the White Plains community deserves to feel safe in our city. We must use every resource we can to reduce crime and make White Plains safer. On the Common Council, I was proud to fight, with the police’s support, to get money in the budget so that every police car has a non-lethal taser. As Mayor, I will continue to work with law enforcement and first responders so we are using all the tools at our disposal to prevent gun violence, stand up to hate crimes, and improve community-police relations.
Work with county partners to crack down on illegal guns
Foster a stronger relationship between our police and the community they serve
Combat the rise in antisemitism and other bias crimes
Improve accountability and transparency

Climate change is here and we must do more to ensure White Plains improves our sustainability. The current administration has done a good job, and I aim to be more proactive in implementing solutions. From investing in green infrastructure to getting all of our buildings up to code, here are some of my priorities:
Hire a sustainability director to lead our city’s efforts
Implement a tree cutting statute
Explore securing more EV charging stations
Get our buildings up to code
Invest in green infrastructure
Explore opportunities to expand public transit and reduce cars in the city

White Plains is a great place to call home, and I am committed to increasing the number of community spaces and parks in our city. My administration will look for opportunities to include green and/or public spaces in new development projects. As a former chair of one of the largest Youth Bureaus in the country, I’m incredibly proud of the success we’ve seen across the 68 programs. One of my top priorities is to build an Intergenerational Community Center – putting our youth and senior programming under one roof.
Build a state-of-the-art Intergenerational Community Center for all residents, with an emphasis on youth and senior programs
Invest in more parks and specifically look into building a skate park
Explore options to build a center for culture and the arts – a museum or theater

White Plains has a tremendous record providing good public services for our residents and I will look to continue that great work. As a Common Council Member, I fought to secure office space and a full-time staffer for the Council, so we could better serve the public. I will look to improve upon the Mayor’s Office’s communications and keep the Council and public informed.
